SIMBIOSIS

SIMBIOSIS (N. DIAMANTIDIS KE SIA E.E.) is a provider of specialized consulting services to businesses and organizations in the agri-food sector. Its core scientific staff consists of field-expert MSc and Ph.D level scientists with over 15 years of experience. He has excellent experience in managing co-financed projects/programs, designing and conducting socio-economic field research, food safety and quality issues, training/informing producers, planning local development programs, preparing studies and information systems in the agricultural sector. Among the company’s projects are the implementation of the OLIVEGROW project, the preparation of the Cultivation Plan of the Region of Central Greece, the management of Producer Organizations programs in the Olive Oil sector, the evaluation of local CLLD/Leader programs as well as the operation of the websites omadesparagogon.gr & delegate.gr

ESTATE
AVANTIS

Avadis Estate started its operation in 1994 and in its almost 30 years of operation it has recorded significant successes. Among these are the revival of Mavrokountoura (an ancient red Euboean variety of high quality potential), the first plantings of the Sauvignon Blanc variety in Evia and the recent expansion of its activity in Santorini. The production of the vineyards of approximately 200 acres is vinified in its entirety in the winery which has state-of-the-art winemaking and bottling machinery, an underground cellar for maturing the barrels and aging the wines, and a tasting room.

MUSEON

Mouson Estate was created in 2005 by Nikos, Stelios and Panagiotis Zacharias, who took it upon themselves to lead and develop the family winemaking business (started in 1946 by their grandfather) into the 21st century. By combining scientific knowledge and youthful dynamism with experience and tradition, they marked the transition of the winemaking business to the modern environment, having as a basic philosophy the production of wines that are fully harmonized with the ecosystem and the microclimate of the Muses valley. The company’s vision is to produce wines that represent both the Valley of the Muses and the family itself. The company has privately owned vineyards and a state-of-the-art winery with a bottling line with a capacity of 3000 bottles/hour and operates according to international food safety management standards (ISO 22000).

AGRIFOOD PARTNERSHIP OF CENTRAL GREECE

The Agrifood Partnership of Central Greece (APCG) is an urban non-profit company that was founded on the initiative of the Region of Central Greece, as a joint venture between public and private sector entities that are active around the agri-food chain. ASSE has as its main purpose the promotion of the agri-food sector of Central Greece as well as the documentation and promotion of locally produced products. Since its foundation, in 2015 until today, it has recorded to its credit a rich project which includes:
• Participation in 15 food and beverage exhibitions and festivals
• Full support for 135+ exhibitors
• Organization of 10 professional training days and seminars
• Representation of local producers in 5 events of international prestige
• Organization and coordination of 3 research projects and projects to promote education and innovation.
More than 270 Greek Agri-Food businesses utilized and benefited from these promotional tools and actions. A special place in the activities of the last years is the holding of a series of workshops on innovative methods and practices along the entire length of the Agri-Food chain with the aim of connecting businesses with the research area.

OENOLOGY & ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES LABORATORY OF THE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS

The Oenology Laboratory was officially established in July 2015 and fulfills the basic triple obligation of university laboratories which are research, education, and social work. The contribution of the Oenology laboratory to the staffing of the wine industry with suitable executives and also the help in solving the wine problems is the great goal of this Laboratory. It includes a research laboratory, an organoleptic control room and an experimental winery. At the winery, Geoponikos wine is produced and educational programs are held for the general public (amateurs or future wine professionals). The areas of research in which the Laboratory of Oenology is active are mainly the evaluation of the wine potential of indigenous varieties, the effect of viticultural techniques on the quality characteristics of grapes and wines, the improvement of wine quality, wine maturation techniques, packaging materials and their effect on the final quality of the wines, the organoleptic evaluation of the wines. The laboratory actively participates in shaping the wine strategy of the country and of the individual regions. He also represents the G.P.A. in the international wine research network ΟINOVITIS, a network that promotes research in viticulture – oenology around the world. The laboratory is fully equipped for the chemical analysis of wines. More specifically, it has a liquid chromatograph, a spectrophotometer as well as all the necessary instruments for the classic analyzes of wines. It also has a space for experimental vinifications and a seven-seat room for organoleptic testing of the wines. In the past, he has participated in a significant number of research projects funded by national and European funds.
