In the context of the UNICGRAPES project, the specificity of 5 native varieties of Central Greece will be determined
Pursuit
The main objective of the UNICGRAPES project is to contribute to solving the problem of the low competitiveness of the vine-wine sector of the Central Greece Region by strengthening the possibility of placing wines on the market that are distinguished by elements of authenticity, diversity and strong ties to their place of origin.
Participation
The participation of indigenous varieties in the production of quality wines in Central Greece is fixed at low levels despite the fact that they have the potential to create significant added value to the region’s wine product.
Frame
In the context of the UNICGRAPES project, the specificity of 5 native varieties of Central Greece (Mouchtaro, Vradiano, Mavrokountoura, Savvatiano & Malagouzia) will be determined and the extent to which these varieties differ from selected international reference varieties (Chardonnay, Syrah & Cabernet Sauvignon) through comparisons of their chemical composition and organoleptic profile.
This project is implemented within the framework of Submeasure 16.1 – 16.2, Measure 16 "Cooperation" RDP 2014-2020
